I’m Dörthe Brandt, a Berlin based illustrator behind the brand frau brandt. After many years of working as a graphic designer for print, I followed my passion for illustration and create from my studio in Berlin. My work is inspired by nature and travel. There is always something to discover on walks through the Botanical Garden or bike rides through Berlin. My paint brushes and watercolor materials get used as well as the Apple Pencil and Procreate. I love to be creative. frau brandt creates illustrations with a love for detail and you usually find a good cup of coffee on my desk. My creations are found on stationery products of national and international companies. For non-German speakers: The name frau brandt means mrs. brandt in German. During the time, when I was teaching art workshops for children they called me frau brandt and that is the origin of my brand name.
